Here We Go Again

My First Promotion!

Today, I received a letter informing me of my promotion at work to a Senior Software Engineer. The promotion is standard and everyone in my cohort received it after a year, so it feels less like I really earned it. Maybe it's imposter syndrome, but I most certainly do not feel like a senior engineer. I still feel like I hardly know anything.

My supervisor was super nice about it and said it was a distinction from the new grads that just joined. I suppose that's true. I graduated in 2017, so I'm a bit late in getting the senior title. Better late than never?

I love my colleagues though. Everyone is so kind and supportive. Even though the work and pay aren't the most exciting, the people keep me wanting to be here.
