I recently started playing a game called Pocket Frogs, and damn am I so addicted already.

All you do is breed frogs and collect different combinations of colors and markings. It seems like such a simple mechanic, but it's so effective.

It's interesting how game developers can just hack into our dopamine system like that. The randomness of finding and hatching cool frogs makes my brain say, "Give me more! Give me new!" And it works.

I always wanted to develop some sort of breeding game myself. Genetics is fun even when it's just in a video game.

I'm going to go hatch some more frogs now.
